The five official Knight stats
The official game page lists five stats used when matching Knights to quests:
| Stat | Use it as a clue for |
|---|---|
| Strength | Force, endurance, or physically demanding work |
| Agility | Speed, precision, movement, or evasive work |
| Charisma | Negotiation, leadership, persuasion, or public-facing work |
| Magic | Supernatural knowledge or magical action |
| Wit | Planning, investigation, logic, or clever solutions |
These plain-language examples are a reading aid, not a hidden formula. Follow the actual requirements shown on the assignment screen whenever the game gives more specific information.

Stats, attributes, and preferences are different
Stats are the visible numerical comparison for a quest. Attributes are positive or negative details that can begin hidden and may change how a Knight performs. Preferences describe what keeps that Knight satisfied.
PC Gamer's launch-period hands-on makes this distinction clear: a preference can matter to the relationship without being the same thing as a quest-performance trait. Do not send a favourite character everywhere simply because their satisfaction is high.
A practical Knight routine
- Compare visible stats with the quest.
- Review every attribute you have already learned.
- Investigate before a high-risk assignment when information is still missing.
- Check whether equipment fixes a weak point or supports the likely approach.
- Consider satisfaction before repeatedly using the same Knight.
- Record unusual results mentally; a later rewind may make that knowledge useful.
A satisfaction check before dispatch
Ask whether the same Knight has been used repeatedly, whether the assignment fits a known preference, and whether another available Knight can meet the visible requirements. Satisfaction is a planning constraint, not a replacement for quest fit.
| Signal | Use it for | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Five visible stats | Initial quest shortlist | One high number guarantees success |
| Learned attributes | Refine the likely fit | Every hidden attribute is already known |
| Preferences | Protect satisfaction | Preference equals performance trait |
| Equipment | Support a plausible assignment | One item forces a specific outcome |
For the assignment sequence, continue with the quest guide. For a shorter opening routine, use the first-cycle walkthrough.
Build a useful Knight record
When the game reveals new information, keep it with the Knight rather than the quest. A compact record makes later assignments and rewinds faster:
| Record | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Five current stats | Builds the first quest shortlist |
| Revealed positive attributes | Identifies tasks the Knight may handle better |
| Revealed negative attributes | Flags story situations that may be a poor fit |
| Preferences | Helps protect satisfaction across repeated assignments |
| Current equipment | Explains why two otherwise similar attempts can differ |
| Unusual quest result | Preserves a possible Knight–quest pairing for a later cycle |
Recruitment and roster status
Official sources do not publish a complete release-build roster or exact recruitment triggers. This guide therefore does not turn one playthrough into a universal recruitment route.
Community route reports now have focused pages where the source provides a usable condition. They remain labeled as community evidence instead of being presented as developer-confirmed triggers.
Official Knight profile roster
The developer profile archive currently supports these eight standalone Knight references. This is the site's sourced profile set, not a claim that the full release contains only eight Knights.
| Knight profile | Official clues highlighted in the source | Profile |
|---|---|---|
| Angelica of Clovermont | Kindness, tracking, reluctance to harm living creatures | Open Angelica |
| Sir Gwendan of Villador | Status, disliked tasks, decorated armour | Open Gwendan |
| Ursula of Brimwood | Graveyards, crowds, alchemists | Open Ursula |
| Gideon | Duel training, diplomacy, dislike of mud | Open Gideon |
| Goberto of Naoned | Monster hunting, danger, Almor tournament | Open Goberto |
| Dulahan | Literal behavior, organization, approval | Open Dulahan |
| Rufus of Groveshire | Forests, loyalty, suspicion of strangers | Open Rufus |
| Silgur of Groveshire | Tracking, monster hunting, solitary work | Open Silgur |
The character guide explains how to read roles and clues, while the character wiki includes Tower servants and story figures alongside Knights.
